Tabrez recently updated his site with some nice new work. Check out the 26 letters piece and I especially love the motion graphic for LoveBytes.
Ever get the feeling as a graphic designer that what you’re doing is total bullshit and doesn’t contribute to society whatsoever? This book will help you feel a bit better.
This was a little before my time, I kind of wonder why it did not catch on ! ?
If you have time also check out the Irony mark.

A very interesting clip on the popular website Facebook. Includes who has money in it, its origins (including US government offices) and their privacy policies and terms of agreement which state they can use and profit from any of the information you post on the site.

Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. Processing is developed by artists and designers as an alternative to proprietary software tools in the same domain. Processing was used by Universal Everything’s Matt Pyke when creating the Lovebytes 2007 cards.
Its kind of hard to imagine what a billion dollars actually means. This is an interesting way of looking at it.
There has been much controversy over the new NYC Taxi logo; as a result I found this image by Kamran Mir rather refreshing. This is not to say the new logo is good or bad. The new logo does not hinder the service; people will continue to use the Taxi as a form of transportation regardless of the door ornamentation. The image above cleverly illustrates the fact that the logo is secondary in the recognition of the taxi brand. Maybe the logo could be better; the city could take advantage of this and allow the driver to inject some culture onto the door. This brings us back to the stencil mentioned in the article by the New York Times. My suggestion, get some yellow paint and a big square stencil. Maybe the no-logo yellow cab will catch on.
The best part of the new taxi however is the stuff that you can’t see as a result of the “Clean Air Taxis Act”
Here is a great flicker set of business cards from all over. Some traditional, some out there, all inspirational.
