RepRap 3D printer

RepRap will make plastic, ceramic, or metal parts, and is itself made from plastic parts, so it will be able to make copies of itself. Basically it is a 3D printer.  Think of it like a hot glue gun. You lay a line with the glue gun let it dry and then lay another line on top building until you have an object. Instead of glue it uses a hard drying plastic, making small parts up to one foot square.

Easter Island

This is just crazy. If everything you know about Easter Island involves the giant statues, you have to read into it a bit. Its basically a microcosm of whats happening in the western world today.
